Grapeview, WA - A fourteen year old Grapeview boy was seriously injured Tuesrday when he was struck by a car while riding a bicycle.  Sheriff’s Deputies received the report at about 4PM.  Investigation disclosed a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by a 49 year old Seattle woman was travelling westbound on the 600 block of East Mason Benson Road when a bicycle operated by the boy came out of a driveway without stopping.  The Masno County Sheriff's Department said the vehicle could not stop in time to avoid the collision.  The boy was not wearing a helmet and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.  Speed and Alcohol were not factors in this collision.  An update on the boys condition was not available at the time of this release.
