Hoquiam, WA - Tensions surrounding the Logger's Playday Parade route boiled over into the Hoquiam City Council meeting Monday night when Don Bell with the Playday Committee told the council "I can't guarantee that Logger's Playday Committee is going to be able to backup the sponsorship it has in the past, if the parade is not put back where it's supposed to be." Hoquiam Mayor Jack Durney said the council didn't have any say in the matter, other than to approve the route requested by the Elks, which has already been done. The route was changed last year due to the Simpson Avenue Bridge closure by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
