Westport – Pirates again take over Westport for the 9th Annual Rusty Scupper Pirate Days, Friday June 24th thru Sunday June 26th. Pirate crews will come ashore to create all sorts of mischief during Pirate Daze, but landlubbers will find music at four stages, lots of food, treasure chest prize drawings, costume contests, shopping, kids games in Scallywag Alley and, of course, the Tall Ships Lady Washington and the Hawai'ian Chieftain.
The Tall Ships create a perfect backdrop for all the goings-on, and will be available for dockside tours on Friday and Saturday, and 2 open sea battle cruises on Saturday. The event opens at noon on Friday with music, entertainment and vendors of all kinds. The popular "Pirates of the Caribbean Character Costume Contest concludes the marina activities at 6:00 pm, prior to the "Bowling with the Pirates" Spaghetti dinner at Viking Bowl. Saturday morning starts off with "Breakfast with the Pirates" at Half Moon bay Bar and Grill.
