Missing Shelton Man Found Dead

Shelton, WA - Edward Andrew Lawrence, 40, Shelton, was found dead Saturday in Lake Limerick.  Lawrence was last seen by family members about 9 PM on April 12th.  On April 17th, Mason County Sheriff’s Deputies began a search of Lake Limerick when a canoe was found overturned under a dock and other property associated with Lawrence were located in the lake.  That search and a subsequent search of Lake Limerick failed to find Lawrence.

During the searches for Lawrence, Deputies used dive teams from Mason and Thurston Counties, King County’s Guardian One Helicopter, along with K-9 and cadaver dog teams.  

This investigation is continuing with a post mortem examination scheduled for tomorrow morning.  Investigators say a note was found they believe was written by the victim, however are unwilling provide further information at this time.  Mason County Coroner, Wes Stockwell, is expected to make a determination on the cause and manner of death later this week.
