Failor Lake To Open Early For Kids-Only Fishing Derby

Hoquiam, WA - Failor Lake will be opening early for the Grays Harbor Poggie (Poe-Gee) Club's Fishing Derby this year, The 4 hour opening on April 23rd will allow ONLY juveniles to participate in the derby. The lake will then close again until the regular trout season opens, one week later.

Action: Open Failor Lake to fishing by juveniles only.

Effective dates: 8:00 a.m. through noon April 23, 2011.

Species affected: Trout and other game fish

Location: Failor Lake, Grays Harbor County.

Reasons for action: The opener will allow juvenile anglers to participate in a Fishing Derby hosted by the Grays Harbor Poggie Club.

Other information: Following this opener Failor Lake will remain closed until the regularly scheduled lowland trout opener on the last Saturday in April.
