Log Truck Blocks Simpson

Aberdeen, WA - A Log Truck lost it's logs this morning on simpson Avenue, closing both lanes to traffic for several hours while a self-loader truck could clean up the spilt logs.

Aberdeen Police were on scene minutes after the accident that sent logs across both lanes of Simpson just before 10 this morning. Aberdeen Police Captain John Green tells us the preliminary investigation shows the reach broke on the truck, causing a jack-knife like situation where the trailer almost passed the truck before tipping over. No One was injured, and no other damages were apparent, The State Patrol is working with Aberdeen Police and Public Utility crews to clean up the scene, traffic is expected to be detoured until after noon today.
