MONTESANO, Wash. - A Group called Wild Olympics is campaigning to conserve around 134,000 acres of land in the Olympics, plus 37 thousand that may be added to the Olympic National Park under a "willing sellers willing buyer program." Lobbyist Al Carter said of the plan on Friday "It's about protection of our upper watersheds throughout the Olympic Peninsula."

A new group called The Working Wild Olympics Coalition has come forward against the campaign, Spokesman Dan Boeholt tells us "We want to keep the land working, and we want to keep public access" The new group will have a public meeting Monday March 21st at the Aberdeen High School at 6:30pm.
