Hoquiam, WA - An Aberdeen man faced with jail time stabbed himself in Hoquiam Court yesterday afternoon according to a Hoquiam Police Report. The 32 year old was voluntarily present for his ninth Driving While License Suspended offense, but stabbed himself with a 2-inch pocket knife when Judge Bill Stewart told him that he would be committed to serve 5 days in jail. A Hoquiam Fire Department aid crew treated the man at the scene and transported him to Community Hospital. His condition was not know this morning, Deputy Chief Jim Maloney with the Hoquiam Police Department tells us the man was not arrested, and will be evaluated mentally after he is cleared medically.
