Hoquiam Adopts New Parking Ordinance, Stays Neutral on Spradlin Rock Protest

Hoquiam, WA - The Hoquiam City council adopted new parking ordinances last night that leaves Myrtle street un-changed in front of the Grays Harbor PUD's Nichol's Building where currently a semi-truck and trailer sit in silent protest to a contract dispute between Spradlin Rock and the PUD. Spradlin Rock Owner Tim Spradlin attended last night's council meeting, and said of the decision "It essentially keeps the city in a neutral position."
Councilman Paul McMillan tells KBKW that the Public safety Committee reviewed parking ordinances dating back twenty years, removing 15-minute loading zones from some areas that haven't had businesses in front of them for over 10 years.
