Record Year for Port of Grays Harbor

Aberdeen, WA - The Port of Grays Harbor is reporting a record year, with Export cargo up %85 from last year. Gary Nelson, Executive Director at the Port tells us last year's highlights also included over $60 million dollars in private investment, over one million metric tons of agricultural product, as well as handling one-third of US automobiles exported through West Coast Ports. Straddling Aberdeen and Hoquiam, the Port of Grays Harbor saw more than 100 vessels in the deep water port for 2009. In retrospect; Nelson said five years ago the port handled a total of 19 vessels.
