Shelton, WA - A 50 year old Shelton woman was killed Sunday night in a single vehicle collision at about 8:45 PM in the 1200 Block of East Agate Road.  Linda K. Mapes, Shelton, was driving her 2008 Kia Spectra westbound when she drove onto a frosty shoulder.  The driver apparently over corrected, causing the vehicle to slide broadside across both lanes of travel.  The vehicle impacted a ditch and rolled, partially ejecting Mapes.  According to investigators, Mapes was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.

Deputies are continuing the investigation to determine the contributing factors to this collision.
