12 Year Old Driver Attempts to Outrun Officer

Aberdeen, WA - a 12 year old Aberdeen boy could be facing felony eluding charges after a police chase ended in a crash on Highway 12 just after 11 o'clock Friday night. The Washington State Patrol Trooper tells KBKW an officer spotted the vehicle on Devonshire road in Central Park, when it failed to yield to the officers emergency lights, the driver turned off his lights and sped up;
"The vehicle left the road to the right struck guide wires for a power pole, continued off the roadway for several hundred feet then rolled and came to rest on it's top in the roadway."
The 12 year old driver suffered minor injuries, his 14 year old passenger was not injured in the incident, the vehicle; a 2007 Chevy Aveo that belonged to the driver's mother was totalled. The State Patrol tells us the driver could face felony eluding charges. Both driver and passenger were release to their parents.
