Mason County Deputies Investigate Armed Robbery Incident

BELFAIR, Wash. - The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred during the very early morning hours of this morning, Friday, November 19, 2010, at Randi’s Short Stop Deli located at 24100 State Route 3, Belfair, WA.

According to 911 Dispatch and Deputy Sheriff reports, a white male, described as 6’-00” tall, “skinny build”, wearing “something white covering his face” and holding a “big knife”, entered Randi’s Short Stop Deli around 30 minutes after midnight and stole an undisclosed large sum of money.  The robber then fled on foot.

The cashier said that the robber, armed with a “kitchen style knife in one hand”, reached over the counter and into the cash drawer, grabbing the money from the drawer.

The suspect was further described as wearing what appeared to be a dark jacket, blue jeans, tennis shoes and gloves.

Mason County Sheriff Deputies and K-9 searched the area, but did not locate the suspect.
