Posted by David Haviland on April 1, 2009 at 6:32 am (739 social interactions)

Grays Harbor County commissioners met Tuesday morning and finalized layoffs including Public Services Director Paul Easter, his administrative asssitant Jan Fargo, and Emergency management Director Anne Sullivan. The County commissioners also decided on the complete teardown of the EMS department as we know it, and a reformation of the EMS services under the Grays Harbor County Sherrriff's department.

The commissioners also discussed the layoff of two County deputies and one corrections officer, however that decision was not finalized at yesterday's meeting, County Undershierriff Rick Scott said he planned to go back to his union members and the commissioners said that alternative funding may be available to keep those positions. Scott said they did not want to loose officers.
