Montesano Talks With County on Annexation

Montesano, WA - Montesano Mayor Ron Schillenger talked with the Grays Harbor County Commissioners at their weekly meeting yesterday, regarding the recently proposed annexation of several outlying areas. 

"We began the discussions with County residents in the neighborhoods of Val Vista, West Wynoochee, West Simpson, and Sylvia Ridge" said Shillenger.

The Mayor apologized for not starting the annexation procedures with the county first.. and asked that the commissioners meet with him in an open public meeting to be announced at a later date.

Shillenger said that Val Vista, and West Wynoochee residents do not appear to be interested in annexation, and that residents near Sylvia Ridge development, have not petitioned to avoid annexation yet.
