Grays Harbor Historical Seaport To Hold Surplus Equipment Sale

Posted by David Haviland on August 17, 2010 at 5:50 am (716 social interactions)

Aberdeen, WA - The Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority and its Spar Shop business unit is inviting the public to a surplus equipment and materials sale at the Seaport Learning Center in Junction City. The sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, August 27 and 28. Since its founding in 1985, the Seaport has collected marine equipment, woodworking gear, raw materials, and other goods that are now surplus. The Seaport would like to offer these items—often one-of-a-kind—for sale to the public.

Items for sale include assorted marine gear and equipment, assorted kitchen ware, small boats and trailers, angle iron, electrical and plumbing supplies, dimension lumber, and office equipment. The Seaport will also have one of its new Harbor’s Best Greenhouse Kits assembled and on display.

The Seaport Learning Center is located at 712 Hagara Street in Junction City. All equipment and goods are offered first-come, first-served, and as-is (unless otherwise noted by the manufacturer). Sales are cash only; no refunds or exchanges.

Members of the GHHSA Board of Directors will be on hand to meet the public and answer questions about Seaport operations. Sale proceeds support the K-12 education programs benefiting the youth of Grays Harbor County at the Spar Shop and aboard the tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain.
