New Blood At Grays Harbor Raceway Park

Great Northwest Promotions LLC, operators of Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington are pleased to announce that NASCAR Sprint Cup star Greg Biffle and long time friend and business partner Jerry Schram owner of Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon are now shareholders in Grays Harbor Raceway. With the addition of the new partners and the national exposure that will come with it, original shareholders Bud Brown and Dan Wade are excited to be able to take Grays Harbor Raceway to the next level.

General Manger George Wade sees it as a win, win situation all the way around, having someone with Greg’s stature involved at one of the nicest facilities in the country can do nothing but grow the facility. Couple that with the positive economic impact that we believe, will be mutually beneficial to the Raceway and the Community, as everyone involved will come out a winner.

Grays Harbor Raceway, is located twenty miles west of the State Capital in Olympia, Washington at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma. Racing starts in April and goes through until October every Saturday night. The track is a high banked 3/8’s clay oval reconfigured in 2004. The track was originally built in 1957 as a ½ mile and then downsized to a 3/10’s mile in 1981, before the transformation to the first class facility that it is today. Grays Harbor Raceway, has a seating capacity of 6,150, as well as three VIP Suites and a Media Center.

Local classes of cars competing include ASCS 360 Sprint Cars, Ford Focus Midgets, Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Hornets. Special Events include World of Outlaws, ASCS National and Regional Series events, DAA Northwest Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin Williams, NorthWest Wingless Sprint Car Tour, Rolling Thunder Big Rig Racing, and the Modified Nationals.
