Robbery Prompts Brief School Lockdown in Aberdeen

Aberdeen, WA - Robert Gray School on the north side of town was locked down for about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon after robbery suspects fled in the general direction of the school from 2nd and B Street.

Just before 1 o'clock, two males wearing ski masks came into the grocery store on the side of the stewart grocery building. and demanded money from the store clerk. One man was armed with a gun, the other with a knife. The store clerk sustained a knife wound, and was treated at the scene.

Investigators tracked the suspects east towards the arthur street area with the assistance of the Hoquiam K9 Unit. Officers located some items of clothing that they believe were involved in the robbery.



The suspects were described as male, english speaking, medium build around 5 foot 7.

Aberdeen Police Captain John Green said yesterday that the investigation continues, and that no arrest have been made yet.
