Carlston said in a press release;
"To all my fans, family and friends I have the most unpleasant news to impart today. My restaurant, Alexander's Grill will be closing as of May 30th, 2010. I have fought hard to keep my doors open through the economic turmoil that has surrounded us over the past year and a half, but I am no longer able to continue in this manner. It has been a profound honor to have had the opportunity to serve such great people at my establishment over the past 2.5 years, and I look forward to moving forward with my career in the area. I have met many friends, learned much about the families and activities of my most loyal customers and have had an experience to be treasured. I have made arrangements with my landlord to continue renting the space to allow the possibility of another restaurant tenant to move into the turn-key establishment that you have all come to love, so let us hope someone else will be able to take up the torch and to continue this lovely restaurant in the heart of Hoquiam. I thank you all for your time, support and the great memories that I will have for the rest of my life. "
With Many Thanks,
Alexander Carlston
