Rite Aid Should Be In It's New Home "Before I Retire" Says Hoquiam Mayor

Hoquiam, WA - Rite Aid may finally be able to move into it's "new" home soon, Hoquiam Mayor Jack Durney told KBKW earlier this week "I understand that some of the legal stuff has been resolved, and the building has settled as much as everyone feels it's going to settle. They're going to be looking at getting the permit to shore up the one corner, and plans to flood-proof the building, where you elevate plumbing and wiring above a certain level, all of that was approved some time ago."

The new building has been sitting idle since construction completed October of 2008, a blueprint error threw off surveys and measurements prior to construction, resulting in the building residing below the Hoquiam flood plain.
