Shelton, WA - A 35 year old Shelton man was arrested Friday night after Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an altercation at 496 E. Lansky Road on Harstine Island.  Arrested was William E. Anglemyer, 35, Shelton.  Deputies charged Anglemyer with investigation of first degree assault of Richard A. LaDue, 45, Shelton.

Investigators say the two were at a party where many of the people had been drinking.  A scuffle broke out between LaDue and Anglemyer.  During the course of the initial scuffle LaDue had struck Anglemyer with a fist.  The scuffle broke up then Anglemyer returned hitting LaDue in the head with a croquet mallet.

LaDue was airlifted to Harbor View Medical Center in Seattle for treatment of the head trauma.  As of 0800 hrs on March 22, LaDue remains at Harbor View in stable condition.  Sheriff Detectives continue the investigation into this matter.  Anglemyer’s bail is currently set at $100,000.  Anglemyer is expected to make his first court appearance today.
