The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the Southern Washington Coast beginning at 4pm today and lasting thru midnight tonight. Sustained winds are expected to be 35-45mph with gusts exceeding 70mph. The strongest winds are expected to begin between 5 & 8pm with a 2 hour period of the most powerful winds following.

The High Wind Watch issued for the Central and Northern Washington Coast has been cancelled although the sustained winds are expected to be 25-30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

The Grays Harbor County Emergency Management is warning all citizens to be alert for falling trees, branches and power lines. Be prepared for power outages due to the high winds. Check that all items are secure in your yard and to use safe practices in the event you use a generator. Never use a generator indoors!
