Grays Harbor PUD says Few Power Outages During Windy Weekend Weather

Aberdeen- The wind howled but the lights stayed on for most Grays Harbor PUD customers. The PUD responded to minor outages in Central Park and on West Satsop Road Sunday, March 15, 2009 during windy weather that hit the coast of Washington.  

About 30 customers lost power in the Reynvaan Drive area of Central Park at 12:25pm due to wires coming into contact in the wind. Power was temporarily restored at 2:02pm. A short half hour outage at 4pm allowed the crews made final repairs.  

A wire down in the 700 block of West Satsop Road caused an outage impacting about 30 customers at 11:04am. Power was restored at 1:41pm.
