Aberdeen, WA - A purse snatching investigation yesterday lead to the discovery of a body under the 6th street bridge in Aberdeen. Aberdeen Police Captain John Green tells KBKW News the purse snatch victim was waiting in a Chevy Suburban outside of the Tobacco Depot when a white male described as being in his mid 20's and 5'10" reached into the open window and grabbed the woman's plastic leather-style purse. The suspect  described as "scraggley" with an unkempt beard ran North after the incident occured. Anyone with any information is asked to call the APD tipline at 538-4450.

While officers were investigating that incident, Officer Gonzalos went to the end of Canyon Court road, and walked the trail that goes below the sixth street bridge to discover the body of a transient man in the brush near the bridge. Green said the police department has identified the body and that the coroner's office is contacting the man's next of kin.
