Aberdeen Plans For 730-Thousand in Stimulus Funds

Aberdeen City Council authorized the advertising of bids for construction on the Heron Street sidewalk project, work approved and financed by the Federal Stimulus Package, which would not include the bulb-outs - those are mostly completed

Councilwoman Margo Short commended Public Works Director Larry Bledsoe for having the project "shovel ready"

Councilwoman Kathy Hoder explained the public works department is working on cutting it's budget

adding that Bledsoe has been diligent at cutting costs.
