Posted by David Haviland on November 5, 2009 at 6:00 am (1966 social interactions)

HOQUIAM, Wash. - Hoquiam Police have cited an Aberdeen woman for calling in a Bomb Threat to what turned out to be her own employer.

just after noon Tuesday officers were called to the Pacific Care Center on Cherry Street to the report of a bomb threat, the person taking the call said that a woman attempting to disguise her voice as a man had called in the bomb threat and then stayed on the line with them as they began to go through the facility's policy manual on how to deal with the situation. The caller began to laugh after some time, and was recognized by the call taker as a fellow employee.

Hoquiam Officers contacted the Aberdeen woman requesting she come to the Hoquiam Police Department for an interview, when she did she was cited for an Unnecessary Emergency Response, a misdemeanor. The woman said that she and the fellow employee often quiz each other on policies while they are working together and that was what she was trying to do.
