Scholarship recipients must be enrolled full-time during the 2009-2010 school year to receive their scholarships. In addition, recipients will be expected to attend the Recipient and Donor Recognition Ceremony to meet the donors who make their scholarships possible. Recipients will be notified about the date of this important event as soon as possible.

Be sure to answer all questions honestly, as scholarships are available for all types of people.  Please note that students will be disqualified from being awarded a scholarship if they misrepresent themselves in any way. Applicants will be notified by mail of the results of their applications sometime in early November. No information will be given over the phone prior to the letters being mailed.

How do I apply?

You MUST use INTERNET EXPLORER to complete the application; other browsers will not allow you to complete the application at this time. Please save often, the pages will time-out (refresh) after a fairly short amount of time, causing you to lose your unsaved work.  Save your application often to avoid losing your information.

To begin, click the "START HERE" button on the right side of the page. This will allow you to create a username and password so you may save your work and come back to it later. Applications are due Thursday, October 22, 2009 no later than 11:59 pm Pacific Time, no exceptions! You are required to submit two letters of reference with an original signature and one copy of your most recent unofficial transcript by scanning and uploading the documents to your application.

If you do not have access to a home scanner you can visit our Media Center located on the bottom floor of the Library #1515 on our main GHC campus (Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), they will be happy to assist you. The best time to visit is Monday & Wednesday 1:00-3:00 pm and Friday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.

You will be asked to answer a personal statement or essay question depending on the scholarship. We highly recommend that you complete your work in Microsoft Word or a comparable program, then copy and paste your answer into the box provided. The online application does not notify you of grammatical or spelling errors.
