UPDATE: Arrest made after theft of donation jar for 11 month old patient
On 09/12/13 at about 6:27 P.M. Officer Timmons received a call from an employee at Mikes Meats. The officer was told that a customer had come into the store and told the employee that the suspect looked like a person they knew. A name was provided of the suspect but the citizen wished to remain anonymous. Officer Timmons worked on the tip and discovered that the suspect appeared similar to the suspect on the video.
Officer Timmons began to look for the suspect and found him at the Aberdeen Safeway store at about 6:50 P.M. Officer Timmons reported that the male subject appeared to be the same person in the video. Officer Timmons arrested a 42 year old Aberdeen male on three arrest warrants on unrelated misdemeanor charges.
Officer Timmons interviewed the suspect on the donation jar theft and the suspect confessed to Officer Timmons that he stole the donation jar. He said the jar had $22.00 dollars inside when he took it. The suspect was charged with an additional charge of theft third.
The Aberdeen Police Officers Guild donated $122.00 dollars to Madilynn’s cause. The donated one hundred along with an extra twenty two dollars to replace the money stolen by the suspect.
The suspect is currently at the City of Aberdeen Jail
