Shelton man found beaten, unconscious, police seek tips
SHELTON, Wash. – On Tuesday, August 27 at about 11:11pm Shelton Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the downtown area of 1st Street and Railroad Avenue. On arrival they found an unconscious adult male who was the apparent victim of an assault. Witnesses indicated that a group of males were reported to have been seen fleeing the area on foot. A K-9 track was conducted, but no suspects were located.
Lieutenant Les Watson with the Shelton police tells us detectives are following up on leads at this time. The information obtained up to this point suggests that the victim and the assailant(s) are familiar with one another.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Mason General Hospital and then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. His current condition is listed as critical.
