Swimmer rescued off of Long Beach Sunday

LONG BEACH, Wash. – Surf rescue teams saved a distressed swimmer about 200 yards off of Long Beach on Sunday. South Pacific County Technical Rescue reports a rescue swimmer stabilized the victim around 5:30 Sunday evening, personal watercraft were used to get the swimmer back to the beach near the Lighthouse Resort south of Cranberry Rd.
The victim was not identified, responders reported they had no life jacket, wet suit, or fins, had a boogie board without a leash and were reported to be a poor swimmer.
