Standoff home in Hoquiam demolished

HOQUIAM, Wash. – A home that burned during a fatal standoff in Hoquiam was demolished yesterday.

Since a 20-hour standoff in March ended in the dangerous suspect, Rick or Rob Marlowe, being shot 14 times while crawling across the doorway, the home has sat burned and vacant.

Marlow was confronted in the home by Hoquiam Officer Jeff Salstrom and two detectives about a real estate fraud investigation in Sacramento, prompting the shooting and wounding of Salstrom, and the standoff.
