ABERDEEN, Wash. – Celebrate Independence day with the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport on your map, a ribbon cutting at the new home for the tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain takes place on the south side of Aberdeen tonight. The main entrance to Seaport Landing is at 500 N. Custer St. – with plenty of parking available, the gates open at 5, a ribbon cutting at 5:30, and tours of the tall ships beginning at 6 today.
On the 4th of July, from Noon to 6 p.m., they’re offering public tours, a classic car show, and a community garage sale, Aberdeen Lions Club will have a trailer setup, and from noon to close the Captain’s Corner is hosting a beer garden. The Fireworks Sail aboard both tall ships begins at 9
Also this year , the Historic Seaport Authority has invited the public to view the SPLASH fireworks display from the Seaport Landing pier at no charge.
