Grays Harbor Search & Rescue Groups – Volunteers, Heroes and Role Models

MONTESANO, Wash. – Grays Harbor County is exceptionally lucky to have two active Search & Rescue Groups within our borders. The West Coast Search Dogs, an indispensable group of extremely dedicated search dog handlers and the newly formed Grays Harbor Volunteer Search and Rescue Group, consisting of volunteers who search by foot through all types of rigorous terrain. Never seeking accolades or a headline in the paper, they remain on duty 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, assisting jurisdictions throughout Washington State to find missing persons during day or night, in driving rain, snow, howling wind, bitter cold and sweltering heat.
