Demolition of Aberdeen Home Prompts Daily Closure of Stewart Boulevard

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Demolition of the house that slid off of it’s foundation on Stewart Boulevard in Aberdeen will close the street for several days this week. Scott Olson with the public works department tells us crews will close Stewart off of B street from 7am to 5pm daily until the home can be removed and the area secured.
The home slid two feet from the sidewalk after a major rain storm in November of last year, Building Director Bob Waite “red tagged” the house in December, saying it could slide further down the hill any time.
