ABERDEEN, Wash. – Have you ever wondered what our local government does during emergency and/or disaster situations or the kind of events which could affect us? Do citizens have a role in disaster events?
On Thursday May 2nd from 5:30-9pm, Grays Harbor College, in room 1512 (Library Building), Grays Harbor County Emergency Management will host a free Emergency Management Public Forum – an open forum where you get to ask questions about Emergency Management issues.
Discussion will include the Boston Marathon Bombings, Hurricane Katrina to Hurricane Sandy and New inundation modeling for the Washington Coast for the Cascadia Earthquake and Tsunami risk. National and State planning for earthquake response throughout the State of Washington and the specific issues Grays harbor County presents.
All members of the public are encouraged to attend. Information will be available on Family Preparedness Planning, Go Kits, long term emergency planning, flood insurance and emergency notifications. Refreshments will be available.
