Hoquiam Business Association Brings Back First Thursdays
HOQUIAM, Wash. – The Hoquiam Business Association has announced that First Thursdays are back this Spring. With plans to again stay open late and entertain on the first Thursday of April through September months. The HBA needs to hear from businesses that would like to participate by March 18th.
We are excited to announce that First Thursdays are coming back for 2013 and will run from April-September! Do you remember how much fun we had last year? Hundreds of people came to downtown and the eastside to explore shops, listen to live music, check out local artists, and dine locally. Business owners reported significant spikes in sales on the night of First Thursdays, and the feedback we received indicated that the events were a success.
For those who didn’t participate or need a refresher, First Thursdays occur on the First Thursday of each month and happen from 5-8 p.m. If your business is interested in signing up to participate there are only a few requirements:
- Your business needs to be open on the First Thursday of each month from April-September from 5-8 p.m.
- Host an artist in your business. We will assist in pairing you up with an artist if needed.
- Stamp passports or participate in other “theme” events to enhance the customer experience.
- Have fun!
This is a great opportunity to open up your doors and meet your customers. The goal is to build a relationship with your customers that will keep them coming back.
Please email us by Monday March 18th if you would like to participate. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. More specific details will be sent out as the event draws near, such as monthly themes and other promotions. We do hope you will join us for another successful year of First Thursdays in Hoquiam.
