MONTESANO, Wash. – Chuck Wallace, Deputy Director of the Grays Harbor County Emergency Management Agency reminds travellers this weekend the Chehalis River is under a FLOOD WARNING until later this afternoon. Currently it has just surpassed the 21 foot Flood Stage. It is expected to remain there this morning and then fall by late afternoon today. Minor flooding is expected in low lying pasture lands and roads.
The National Weather Service Holiday Forecast
Today – rain showers and gusty winds to 40 mph along the coast. Winds will be lower inland. Rain will not have a significant impact on river levels.
Thanksgiving – Rain showers before 10am, Temperatures @ 45 degrees. Showers after 4pm. The weather will become blustery with more rain through the night.
Friday – Heavy rain and gusty winds approaching 45 mph, Temperatures @ 40-45 degrees.
Saturday & Sunday – Rain showers and temperatures in the low 40’s. The winds should have no impact.
