Hoquiam Police Investigating Wednesday Night Stabbing
HOQUIAM, Wash. – Police have a person of interest in custody after a stabbing occured last night in downtown Hoquiam. Detective Srgt. Shane Krohn tells us the victim, a 25 year old Salem Oregon man, suffered a puncture lung after he was stabbed in the armpit during a fight, allegedly with a 30 year old man from Fowler, California.
Krohn said the victim was transported to Community Hospital, the person of interest was arrested on suspicion of assault in the 2nd degree.
Both were in town on seperate construction project, but Krohn said they did not know each other prior to the incident in the alley of the 700 block of Simpson Avenue, around 10:30 Wednesday night.
