Homeless Teen Backpack Program Collecting at Jodesha Studios Today

Join The Leadership Grays Harbor Class of 2012 today from 7:30am-10am in front of Jodesha Broadcasting at 1520 Simpson Avenue in Aberdeen, they’re collecting non-perishable food items for a Grays Harbor launch of the Homeless Backpack program.


WHO ARE WE: HOMELESS BACKPACKS IS A NON-PROFIT 501c3 CORPORATION COMMITTED TO ENDING HOMELESSNESS, BY GIVING TEENS THE HELP THEY NEED SO THEY CAN FOCUS ON SCHOOL AND GO ON TO GRADUATE AND BECOME CONTRIBUTING CITIZENS.

WHO WE HELP: A HOMELESS TEEN IS ONE WITHOUT A PERMANENT ADDRESS. THIS INCLUDES THOSE WHO LIVE WITH THEIR FAMILIES IN SHELTERS, THOSE ON THEIR OWN AND THOSE STAYING WITH DIFFERENT FRIENDS EACH NIGHT.

SINGLE SERVING NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS WE NEED:

  • Protein (Chili, tuna, jerky, etc.)
  • Milk Boxes (unrefrigerated)
  • Snacks (crackers, cookies, etc.)
  • Microwave Popcorn
  • Top Ramen
  • Granola Bars
  • Juice Boxes (6.75 oz)
  • Instant Oatmeal
  • Macaroni and Cheese (single servings)
  • Food Voucher ($10—$25)
