Grays Harbor PUD Conducting Planned Outage in McCleary

MCCLEARY, Wash. – Grays Harbor PUD and the City of McCleary have coordinated a planned power outage impacting about 283 Grays Harbor PUD customers located in the area east of Elma to McCleary and ALL City of McCleary customers. The outage is scheduled for Friday, July 20, 2012 beginning at 11pm and lasting about 12 hours.  The purpose of the outage is to repair damaged equipment and to conduct capital improvements. Customers within the PUD outage area are being notified by letter.

The outage will impact customers in the area of Elma McCleary Road starting at the intersection of Heise Rd. All customers east of this intersection to the City of McCleary will be impacted. Customers on the Elma Hicklin Road, Hicklin Road, Stillson Road, Church Road, Stoney Lane, Wildcat Road, O’Donnel Avenue, and Vestal Lane as well as those customers situated along Highway 8 from McKnight Rd east to exit 108 will be affected as well.  Again, all City of McCleary customers will be affected.  

Customers within the planned outage area are advised to protect sensitive electronic equipment such as computers, televisions, and microwaves by unplugging those items and leaving them disconnected until power is fully restored.  In addition, customers are advised that the length of the outage (12 hours) is an estimate and power could be restored at anytime. Therefore, please take necessary precautions if there are plans to do electrical work or repairs during that period of time.
