Aberdeen House Fire Closes B Street Monday

ABERDEEN, Wash. – Smoke coming from a home on B street in Aberdeen closed access to the 1600 block yesterday morning as fire crews worked to find the source, Fire Chief Dave Carlberg said from the scene “On arrival there was heavy smoke showing from the eves, in the garage there appears to be a car gone so we assume that there may be no one home, the doors were locked.”
Carlberg said neighbors advised the department that the lone occupant of the home was out of town for the day at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported, the cause of the fire is under investigation, damages to both the home and contents was estimated at just under $200-thousand.
