Power Outage and Weather Updates For Wednesday
The National Weather Service has notified Grays Harbor County that extremely heavy snow is expected throughout the County for the next 4-5 hours. The storm system has stalled over Grays Harbor County, with large snowfall amounts expected. Wind Gusts will remain @ 20-30mph.
Power has been restored to most of Ocean Shores and all of Oyhut. About 1100 customers impacted by an outage early this morning remain without power but the problem, a leaning power pole, has been isolated and we will provide an estimated time for restoration once we have determined the time frame for making repairs. There was no obvious cause for the outage impacting the rest of Ocean Shores and Oyhut although it is likely weather related, possibly due to vegetation such as tree branch impacting a power line.
Power has been restored to most of the area from East Hoquiam Rd. north to Quinault. The only area without power is the Quinault area. The PUD is continue to inspect the line for possible damage. There is no estimated time for restoration of power yet.
Pacific County PUD #2 reports Bonneville Power Administration lost a connection to their Oxbow substation.
Doug Miller, General Manager of the Pacific County PUD tells us about 250 in Naselle should have power restored by noon or 1 today, about 40 in Raymond – by 11, and all of Willipa Valley – about 700 affected by the substation issue should be restored in the next hour or so.
