Neighbor Attempts to Rob Grocery Store

Bookmark and Share

Lake QUINAULT, Wash. – An attempted robbery last night in Quinault when a neighbor walked into Northshore Grocery wearing a gas mask and brandishing what even the store clerk described as a toy gun. When the man began acting erratically, the clerk fled out the back of the store, the suspect fled out the front without having stolen anything. County Undersheriff Rick Scott tells us the investigation wasn’t too difficult, the man apparently brought his dog along, that combined with video footage and the teller recognizing the suspect’s mannerisms sent investigators to a man’s home 1/4 mile down the road from the store. Scott tells us a Quinault man was taken into custody on attempted robbery charges, the mask and toy gun were recovered by investigators.
