Artist and Author Isa Kitty Mady to speak at Aberdeen Timberland Library

Author, artist and current Montesano resident Isa Kitty Mady will read from her richly illustrated memoir on Saturday, May 23 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Aberdeen Timberland Library. “Artfully Yours, Isa” pays tribute to some 80 artisans from New York to Alaska, who have artistically influenced her life.  Ms. Mady has spent a life surrounded by many talented and intriguing characters, including a number from the Twin Harbors area, such as sculptor Randi Hubbard, former Daily World Editor John Hughes and Sylvia and Clyde Brown, owners of Frames-N-Things in Aberdeen. Isa Kitty Mady’s memoir is a colorful and eclectic collection of stories about the people and things that have influenced her 60+ years. Loaded with art and photos, “Artfully yours, Isa” focuses on the healing power of art and the importance of supporting civic art projects. Interesting places and events featured in the book include the Abel House in Montesano and Hoquiam’s annual On Track Art Festival.
