Hoquiam Couple Waits While Daughter Suffers Overdose
HOQUIAM, Wash. – A Hoquiam couple watched for nearly two hours as their 1 year old daughter suffered the effects of a narcotic she had found in her mom’s purse. Hoquiam Police Detective Sergeant Shane Krohn tells us she was treated Sunday at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen and then taken into custody of Child Protective Services along with two other children in the family.
The 24 and 33 year old Hoquiam parents admitted to buying 8 milligram suboxone pills off the streets, and waiting for almost two hours after their youngest daughter ate one Sunday morning. Krohn tells us the parents may face charges pending the results of a CPS investigation. Suboxone is a synthetic narcotic used in the treatment of opiate dependency.
