Cosmopolis Hopes to Restart Popular Program

COSMOPOLIS, Wash. – The City of Cosmopolis could be bringing back a popular program soon “We used to have a compost program where people could come down by where the city barn is and dump their grass.”

Cosmopolis Mayor Vickie Raines said the city had to close the only compost program in the county at the time due to budgetting constraints after the closure of the pulp mill.

raines said with revenue expected soon from the new mill steward, Cosmo Specialty Fibers, the city hopes to restart the program next year.
