Shelton Man Arrested in Shorecrest Drug Raid
SHORECREST, Wash. – Sheriff’s Detectives wrapped up a two week investigation yesterday with the service of a search warrant in the Shorecrest area and the arrest of a 55 year old Shelton man. Richard M. Schnabel was booked and released at the Mason County Jail for felon in possession of a firearm, violation of the uniformed controlled substance act, and delivery of controlled substance (methamphetamine).
During the two week investigation Detectives from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office through a confidential police operative were able to make controlled buy’s of narcotics from Schnabel. When detectives served the search warrant, they also found a stolen 1991 Honda Prelude and a stolen 12 Sea Nymph Boat. The stolen property remains under investigation by Sheriff’s Deputies.
Schnabel is expected to make his first court appearance sometime today. Detectives did not say what the street value of the drugs found would be. Mason County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Special Operations Group were involved in the arrest of Schnabel. Schnabel was arrested without incident.
