Citizens Apprehend County Escapee in Montesano

MONTESANO, Wash. – Two Comcast employees stepped up and helped Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Officers yesterday when they spotted an escaped inmate wearing an orange jumper and handcuffs running through a Montesano alley. The two tackled the escapee and held him while they contacted police, who were already close to the County Courthouse. Sheriffs Detective Dave Pimental said the man was being transferred from court to the jail just after 3 yesterday, when he ran from the officer who also had a female in custody. The man has now been returned to County jail, with a charge of escape in the first for his 13 minutes of freedom.
