Ocean Shores Lowers Mayor’s Salary, Seeks City Administrator

OCEAN SHORES, Wash. – The Ocean Shores city Council has voted to simultaneously lower the Mayor’s Salary, and begin the search for a city administrator in 2012. A 4-2 vote last night lowers the mayor’s salary to 1 thousand dollars per month, and another 4-2 vote establishes a City Administrator’s position, with a salary to be determined, however the idea was to apply the difference from the mayor’s salary to the new position.

Appointed mayor, Garland French will receive his current salary of $8,300 per month until the end of his term, the new salary would take effect January first 2012, under a newly elected mayor.
