Meeting Tonight to Discuss Moving Highway 12, State route 101 Through Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Wash. – A meeting tonight will discuss moving Highway 12 and State Route 101 through Downtown Aberdeen. Police Chief Bob Torgerson told the Downtown Business Improvement District Committee last week “they’re looking for input, this is the time to provide that.”
Fliers were sent to Aberdeen residents with their January water bills. The meeting at City Hall will take place at 7PM. and will discuss a potential six year plan to move the highway from Wishkah street, over to Market street.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, Highway 12 ends in downtown Aberdeen as it intersects with State Route 101, at G street and Wishkah/Heron streets.
